Indian dance workshop – a new experience

Year One had the opportunity to take part in an amazing experience - an Indian dance workshop. For most of the children at Talbot Primary School this was something that they had never experienced before.

At the start, the children listened to stories and music. Then they were taught specific dance moves and put them together to make a dance of their own. Below are some of the comments children made:

Ada “I like being the peak of the mountain.”

Jude “I like the twisting my thumb move.”

Hattie “I liked being a peacock”.

Freya “I like performing because dance keeps us healthy.”

Yasa “I liked the songs.”
