Sustainability – knowing where we can make a difference
The children in Year 2 have enjoyed learning about sustainability as part of our whole school learning, which is being supported by the School Council. In the first week, children were set a range of Learning Log challenges to pick from, all of which they could do at home with their families.
The children were able to explain why sustainability is so important.

“Turn the lights off in the classroom when we are not there” Charlie
The children in Year 2 enjoyed sharing their Learning Log homework stipulating the importance of sustainability. The children presented their ideas, taking care to demonstrate Active Listening and Skilled Speaking skills to showcase their participation in our whole school learning activity.
