Fluency in maths
It is crucial that children are able to access basic skills and mental maths strategies quickly and accurately. These are taught for 15 minutes each day in school. The children are given a choice of two different challenges: one which consolidates their understanding, and another which deepens their knowledge through the use of varied representations. Below, are links to the objectives for each year group. Also listed, are websites which will help to develop fluency skills.
